What is the relaxation in upper age limit for State PSCs?
State PSCs offer generous upper age limits (up to 40 years for Unreserved in UPPSC/MPPSC/RPSC). Domicile candidates from SC/ST/OBC/Women categories generally receive additional age relaxations of 5 to 10 years.
Is Optional Subject still required in UPPSC and BPSC Mains?
In UPPSC PCS, optional subjects were completely removed and replaced by UP Special GS Paper 5 and Paper 6. In BPSC CCE, the optional paper was made objective and qualifying in nature (not added to merit score).
